MRS. Raees Hassan
In-Charge
Founder Director, Nasr Education Society

Nasr Literacy Centre (N.L.C.) was formed in March 1992 as the members of the Nasr Education Society felt the need to educate the young poor girls of the neighboring localities. These are the girls whose parents cannot afford to send them to regular schools. Free education along with supply of books, uniforms and lunch is provided. Seven teachers have been employed to handle the classes. We are preparing them for the S.S.C. Board Examination in the medium of English. Games, Yoga & Extra-Curricular activities have been made compulsory, with the intention of making school interesting and benefiting at the same time. The strength of the students in the beginning was 30, and now it is 150.

Academics

Dedicated teacher's teach and prepare the students for SSC Board Examinations in the medium of English. Games, Yoga, Needlework and craft have been made compulsory. Health workers and other social workers have regular sessions with the girls on their health, general behavior, habits and value education.

We have succeeded in making the students self sufficient and able to handle their lives independently. Once they pass out from school they have earned a living by opening sewing centers, religious education classes and have even taken teaching as a career. We have found placement for them as Lab Assistant in local English medium schools. Monday to Friday: 12.00P.M. - 4.00 P.M. Sports and Extra Curricular activities on Saturdays.
