| Vanamahotsav Vanamahotsav is celebrated on the 7th of July and its very important that children of this generation value the significance of planting trees for a better tomorrow.This event was taken to task with the help of Mrs.Sarah,where the children of various sections planted croton saplings in the school garden with the placard of the name mentioned for the plant.It was a delight to watch how enthusiastic the kids were when exposed to nature. |
| Poetry Recitation Competition
16th of July 2010,was chosen for the A nnual Recitation Competition for PP1&PP2 SECTIONS.Five children from each class were short listed and were to recite their poems in the presence of our Principal Mrs.Madhubala Kapoor,and the judges.
The contestants were trained by their respective class teachers and while training emphasis was given to pronunciation,expression and above all confidence. The event was hosted by Mrs.Anjum.Each Participant gave his best performance and recited poems of famous poets. |
| Interschool Recitation Competition Soon after, the Pre Primary was geared up to host the Interschool Recitation Competition,to mark the 45th year.Invitations were sent to various schools inviting them to participate for the event.Major schools gave a positive response and showed eagerness for their participation.14schools participated and each school had 2 entries,all were prepared and the spirit of a healthy competition was quite obvious.The guests participants were also given goodies and refreshments.The winners were from Nasr School,Gitanjali Devashala and Delhi Public School.Under the guidance of Head Mistress Mrs. Raees Hasan and Mrs.Anjum Ukaye the show was a grand success. |
| Fancy Dress Competition Mrs.Deepika,was in charge of this event and three themes were chosen for each section.Nursery were dressed up in a character of their choice ,PP1’S were given the theme of creative ideas ,and the PP2’s were given the characters of book titles.each section displayed their best and it was a treat to watch the participants walk the stage to showcase their respective character.It was all so colourful and kept us spell bounded for quite some time. |
| Dussehra A variety of competitions were held like colouring and decorating the pots.Children were all dressed in colourful costumes and danced to the tune of music with jingling dandiyas.The best dressed in their traditional costume were given prizes. |
| Diwali Celebrations Nasr Pre Primary aimed to celebrate Diwali with a purpose,this day the school organised a special event where all the Class 1V workers were felicated,and the entire staff made sure that we made them feel special.Gifts and sweets were distributed by Mrs.Raees Hasan to all.The school’s motto ‘Touching lives Forever ‘was thus achieved.Mrs Arshia did a splendid gesture and all the workers were very happy. |
| Sports day The 45th year for NASR was a special occasion and thus a grand show was put up by Nasr School and the Pre Primary also took part in performing a Ballet Drill.250 students took part dressed very elegantly in a ballet costume and performed in pairs displaying 45 in a formation with soothing music to take intricate steps of a ballet.Mrs Shadan Khan and Mrs Sarah worked hard in putting up this massive show. |
| Christmas day Well coming up to the end of the 2nd term we always conclude with Christmas celebrations. Mrs A nnette decorated the Christmas tree with the help of the students and carols were sung in congregation to welcome Santa who was there to distribute gifts.The children were very excited to see Santa in person for it was a fairy tale come true for many. |
